Cops look for gunman who robbed credit union
Northwest Indiana Times - Feb 2, 2008
WINFIELD | The FBI and Lake County police are looking for a man who robbed Members Advantage Credit Union at gunpoint. FBI spokeswoman Wendy Osborne said agents and police are investigating whether the suspect is one of two men who robbed the same financial institution last month.

MCT Credit Union has proposed changing from the National Credit Union Administration, an independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions, to American Share Insurance. ASI is out of Ohio and is a private insurance company that provides primary and excess share, or deposit, insurance exclusively to credit unions.
